Development Internships
The ACLU of Washington and its Foundation operate jointly as a nonprofit public interest organization devoted to protecting civil rights and civil liberties. With a staff of more than 25 and many volunteers, the Washington affiliate is one of the largest and most successful in the country. Intern with us to increase your communication, marketing, and administrative skills by assisting in gift reporting, maintaining member records, keeping our donors informed of our important work, and a variety of other tasks. Interns are encouraged to earn academic credit for their work. Average hours are 12-20 per week, with flexibility in days and hours according to each intern's needs. All positions are unpaid, but the experience you gain is priceless. We are also looking for volunteers of all skill levels. Responsibilities include:
