Flights & Rights: Decolonizing Thanksgiving

Date:
Tuesday, November 23, 2021 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm
Location:
Online
Flights & Rights is our regularly scheduled community series featuring important civil rights issues and great beverages.

Join former ACLU-WA Equal Justice Works Fellow Crystal Pardue (Chumash), ACLU-WA Legal Committee Chair Bree Black Horse (Seminole), Chief Seattle Club Program Director Nawiishtunmi Nightgun (Yakama/Blackfeet), and ACLU-WA Executive Director Michele Storms for a conversation about Indigenous Justice and Decolonizing Thanksgiving. Learn about Native nations' activities around food sovereignty and preservation of cultural practices, and the Indigenous-centered legal, policy, and advocacy work happening here at the ACLU-WA and across the state.

Please visit one of these Indigenous owned spots and mention the ACLU for $5 off on November 23:
Boots Bakery & Lounge (Spokane)
Off the Rez (Seattle)
Alma Mater (Tacoma) ($5 off $15 purchase)

One of the best parts of Flights & Rights? Connecting with our community – and this includes food and beverage partners across the state! Without them, there would be no Flights with our Rights!
