The ACLU-WA filed a lawsuit in March 2017 on behalf of Theresa Doe and her son M.D. It described how Grays Harbor County repeatedly subjected M.D. to isolation in violation of his constitutional right to due process and the constitutional prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.
