This court case is active
The ACLU of Washington and the NYU Center for Human Rights and Global Justice filed a friend-of-the-court brief in a lawsuit challenging years of delays by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) in approving an Iraqi refugee’s application for citizenship. The brief asked the Court to give CIS specific instructions for resolving the delays in the case, instructions that could also speed up the backlogged applications of thousands of other aspirants to citizenship.
