Immigration Rights and Rapid Response

Date:
Wednesday, September 26, 2018 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Location:
Central Washington University, Dean Hall, Room 104
The current administration's immigration agenda has reached our local communities which means that we must be aware and prepare.

Central Washington Justice for our Neighbors and the ACLU are continuing to have open and honest discussions with local officials in an effort to support a shift in policy and to terminate the current IGSA contract and other policies that are not in line with current guidelines set out by the Washington State Attorney General and are harmful to our varied status community members.

We don't think that our local tax dollars and community resources should be allocated to doing the work of the federal government. Save the date for September 26 from 6 at 8 pm for a Know Your Rights discussion with Abigail Scholar with Central Washington Justice For Our Neighbors and Rapid Response training with Brenda Rodriguez Lopez from WA Immigrant Solidarity Network -Red de Solidaridad de Inmigrantes en WA.

We'll hear how you can play a role in how to resist the inhumane federal immigration agenda and how to eliminate federal oversight over local public safety matters.

Please use your discretion with this event due to its sensitive nature. That is, only invite people who you know to be compassionate to this topic, and who will not share invitations widely or publicly.
