Tukwila, USCIS officeAs part of the Families Belong Together Week of Action, CASA Latina and other allies will be holding a rally in front of the USCIS office in Tukwila. They are demanding for children to be reunited with their parents. They will have a shoe display to symbolize each child that has been separated and lost in this inhumane policy by the federal government. After the shoe ceremony, There will hear from community members and organizers who have been affected by this policy. The shoes will be collected and donated to charity afterwards.
WHO SHOULD COME:
People who oppose this inhumane treatment of immigrant families. Organized by Casa Latina, OneAmerica, Washington CAN, and Washington BUS.
WHAT WE ARE DOING:
A display of children’s shoes that demonstrates the number of kids cruelly separated from their families followed by a rally led by community members.
