Power Up Activist Training

Date:
Tuesday, September 10, 2019 - 5:30pm to Tuesday, November 19, 2019 - 8:00pm
Location:
Seattle Public Library Central Branch
Join the ACLU of Washington for our inaugural Power Up training for activists! At the training you will have the opportunity to meet with other like-minded people in your community and learn how to be an effective advocate with lawmakers. Staff from the ACLU-WA will provide skills-building training on topics including race equity and allyship, strategy and goal setting, power mapping, lawmaker engagement tactics, and a guide to the Washington legislative process.

Power Up is a multi-session training series for activists living in the Seattle and Spokane areas. We ask that participants commit to attending all sessions within their track. For activists outside Seattle and Spokane, there is a remote option that will provide early exclusive access to training materials, instructional videos, and a private discussion group. For questions regarding the training, please email activism@aclu-wa.org.”
