The national ACLU brought suit on behalf of five men who were kidnapped and secretly transferred to U.S.-run prisons or foreign intelligence agencies overseas, where they were interrogated under torture.
The ACLU and its supporters marched to continue the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and support justice for all at the MLK Day Celebration, January 16, 2017. We joined thousands of community members and rallied and marched for the protection and advancement of civil liberties and civil rights.

I-1552 is defeated, but that doesn't mean our movement is slowing down. That's why we're organizing a community town hall that will focus on encouraging queer and transgender people of color to share their stories and educate community members unfamiliar with trans issues.
