OSPI Proposed School Discipline Rules Information Center

This month, parents and community members have the chance to influence how Washington schools deal with student behavior and discipline.
 
The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) writes rules that set the minimum requirements for student discipline actions.  OSPI in the process of substantially revising its proposed rules, and is taking public comment.  Members of the public can comment in person at hearings in Spokane (October 17), Yakima (October 30), Renton (November 7) and Olympia (November 13), or by sending a letter or email to OSPI.  More information about rulemaking hearings and how to submit comments is available at: http://www.k12.wa.us/StudentDiscipline/Rules/default.aspx
