National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association v. Azar

This court case is active

On March 7th, 2019 the ACLU filed a complaint on behalf the Nation Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association and Cedar River Clinics challenging the Trump administration’s attempt to fundamentally alter the Title X family planning program, which provides care to 4 million low-income people each year. The new regulations, if allowed to take effect, would mean that many of these people would be unable to get the care they need from health care providers they trust. The Trump administration’s policy mandates that providers withhold critical health information, including referrals for abortion care, from their patients. The regulations force providers to choose between necessary funding and providing full and complete healthcare to their patients. The ACLU is challenging these regulations to protect Title X.
