The Office of the Washington State Attorney General filed a complaint before the Washington State Office of Administrative Proceedings on behalf of the state’s Human Rights Commission challenging the uniform and grooming policies of Alaska Airlines for violating the Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD).

The American Civil Liberties Union sent a letter today to Alaska Airlines telling the airline to stop enforcing a uniform policy that requires flight attendants to conform to a rigid set of “male” and “female” dress and grooming standards.
