Wednesday, June 16, 2021SEATTLE – Recent reporting indicates that the number of incidents of antisemitic violence have more than doubled in May compared to last year. Across Washington and throughout the country, communities have been impacted by this increase in violent antisemitic incidents. In response, the ACLU of Washington issued this statement:
“No one should suffer violence for who they are and what they believe. As antisemitic violence rises in neighborhoods across Washington and around the country, we condemn these and all acts of violence, discrimination, and hate. We reiterate that antisemitism has no place in society. The ACLU of Washington will continue to fight for a world where every community can live and exercise their civil rights and civil liberties without fear.”
