The Tacoma Pride Festival honors the LGBTQA community by fostering pride in who we are as valuable, creative members of a diverse population in the South Puget Sound region by curating cultural events, establishing partnerships, and hosting Tacoma Pride, formerly Out in the Park, an outdoor festival.
Pride 2020 for the ACLU is about being resilient together. For this virtual event, advocates will speak on the implications of the landmark win at the Supreme Court, how to center Black trans people in the movement and the Trump administration’s removal of nondiscrimination protections when it comes to health care and health insurance.

Join the ACLU of Washington for our inaugural Power Up training for activists! At the training you will have the opportunity to meet with other like-minded people in your community and learn how to be an effective advocate with lawmakers. Staff from the ACLU-WA will provide skills-building training on topics including race equity and allyship, strategy and goal setting, power mapping, lawmaker engagement tactics, and a guide to the Washington legislative process.
